First Snow

Sometimes hath the brightest day a cloud;
And after summer evermore succeeds
Barren winter, with his wrathful nipping cold:
So cares and joys abound, as seasons fleet.

William Shakespeare, Henry VI, Part II
The first snow of the season was last night and summer's last survivor, the Butterfly Argyrantheumum, was covered with it this morning.
